Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Films Ranked Worst To Best (According To Rotten Tomatoes)
2. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Score: 92%
Critic Consensus: "Packed with action and populated by both familiar faces and fresh blood, The Force Awakens successfully recalls the series' former glory while injecting it with renewed energy."
Set about thirty years after the original trilogy, The Force Awakens focuses on the exploits of Rey, Finn and Poe as they team-up with old Star Wars favourites Han Solo and Chewbacca in their battle against Kylo Ren and the First Order.
This film did an amazing job at introducing Star Wars to a new generation by giving young audiences a new squad of heroes to follow. Both Rey and Finn are interesting characters who develop immensely during the film, while Kylo Ren is a compelling villain with connections to Star Wars past, as he is the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa.
While bringing in fresh faces to attract new audiences, the film also caters to fans of the original films by bringing back Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill in their parts from the original trilogy.
