13. Star Wars Theatrical Trailer (1977)
https://www.youtube.com/embed/1g3_CFmnU7k After the abject failure of the film's first trailer, the editors at Lucasfilm went back to the drawing board near the film's release date and cut together a new trailer. For the first time audiences could see the incredible new effects and hear what would soon become the most recognizable film music in history. No child who saw this in 1977 would be able to resist. 12. Return Of The Jedi Theatrical Trailer (1982)
https://www.youtube.com/embed/7L8p7_SLzvU This theatrical trailer for Return of the Jedi is the first time Lucasfilm really nailed the form for these longform advertisements. It's well-cut to the score, and highlights adventure and friendship. It really captures the fun of the final film well.
