8. Jaina And Jacen Solo
The twin children of Han Solo and Princess Leia, Jacen and Jaina Solo played a prominent role in many expanded universe novels including the Young Jedi Knights series, the Yuuzhan Vong, and the Legacy of the Force series. With the way the sequel trilogy is shaping up, there's actually a very good chance that Jaina and Jacen will appear in the series as the story will reportedly focus on the passing of the torch from the original cast of characters to a new one. Jaina would provide the series with a newer incarnation of Princess Leia as the characters are fairly similar. Jacen is different from most jedi in that he is more peaceful and inquisitive about the nature of the force. In short, Jacen is more of a philosopher in the vein of original series Yoda than than a warrior. The solo twins will likely appear in some form in JJ Abrams trilogy and both would be welcome additions.
