Stephen King's “It”: 10 Things The Remake Must Get Right
9. Stephen King Needs To Cameo
At this point, a Stephen King cameo is basically a note of approval from the man himself. Over the years King has cameoed in countless adaptations of his work, from 2005's Fever Pitch to 1986's Maximum Overdrive all the way to the 1997's TV adaptation of The Shining.
There's no denying how many people enjoy the 1990 miniseries version of It. When it first aired it received a positive reception, and has since developed a cult following. What better way to get people on-board, then, than to include a small King cameo as a show of approval.
Besides, cameos are something King clearly enjoys doing. And while he's never taken on a particularly main role in his film adaptations, it'd still be nice to see him show up in the background of Derry, Maine.
