As already touched upon, the Joker isn't actually a member of any incarnation of the Suicide Squad in the comic books - so will he be a member of the movie version in this DC Cinematic Universe instalment? If he's not a member, what will his role be? Will he recruit them to do his own bidding? Will he be the man the United States government want the Suicide Squad to take down (that would be one way to ensure that the audience are actually rooting for a group of villains, which could be a potential problem with the film)? Will his focus be on freeing Harley Quinn from having to do the government's dirty work? Will any of his early focus be on Batman? He'll probably end up being the focal point of the movie, regardless of his actual role, given how huge a character he is, so it will be very interesting to see how he's utilised.
