Suicide Squad: 10 Characters Who Could Steal The Show

1. Captain Boomerang

After his less-than-brilliant turns in A Good Day To Die Hard and Terminator Genisys (and he wasn€™t great in Divergent, either), I never thought I€™d be writing an article suggesting that Jai Courtney might be the best thing in a major upcoming action film. But, judging by his uncharacteristic levels of charisma in the latest trailer, it really looks like Suicide Squad could be his movie. Will Smith looks moody and Jared Leto is quite far removed from the main action. Meanwhile, Jai Courtney is front and centre grabbing laughs that audiences really didn€™t know he was capable of. He's playing Captain Boomerang, an Australian villain who uses souped-up boomerangs to commit heinous crimes. In the trailers he looks utterly unhinged in his cell, truly uncontrollable as soon as he€™s let out, and very amusing once he€™s out in the field. His sneaky beverage on the job garners the biggest laugh of the trailer, and it didn€™t even need a line of dialogue to tee it up. Boomerang is clearly just a bit of a tool, and a funny one at that. Jai Courtney could steal the show, then, if the script plays to these strengths throughout. This could be his Star-Lord €“ a role that lets him act like a dick, but still steal our hearts. David Ayer told Courtney to find his €œinner sh*tbag,€ and it looks like it paid off. Big time. Which Suicide Squad supporting character are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments€
