Played by Oscar-nominee Viola Davis, Amanda Waller is the hard-as-nails government official who has the idea to assemble a team of villains to fight the battles that the American military cant. In the comics, this hardline government agent is nicknamed 'The Wall'; she's so fiercely strong that shes even squared up to Batman and given him a piece of her mind. In the trailers for the movie, Wallers role has mainly been to explain the plot. Fans are hoping that shell have a bit more to do in the film, which seems very plausible seeing as shes been given fifth billing on the latest title card (placing her behind only Smith, Leto, Robbie and Kinnaman). Its likely that shell have more to do than just teeing up the story, then. Perhaps shell be the one barking orders behind the scenes and twisting the arms of the government higher-ups to continue supporting her scheme. Perhaps shell be the type of character that completely blows audiences away, then. The casual viewer probably isnt expecting much based on the trailers, but itd be great to see Davis holding her own in the film and anchoring proceedings while everyone else trots around between fight scenes.
