8. A Trip To Hawkman's Home

Suicide Squad director David Ayer says set photos haven't spoiled all of the movie's biggest surprises, and that's more than likely true. However, have they revealed a major cameo? Police cars were spotted which hail from Midway City, a location better known to comic book fans as the home of Hawkman. He's a character who was at one point rumoured to have a role in Justice League, and he's been a member of both that team and the Justice Society. One of DC's oldest characters, Hawkman has a rich and confusing mythology, but is an ideal candidate for his own movie. He protects the city alongside his partner, Hawkgirl. What Task Force X are after in Midway City isn't clear, but it's a safe bet that Hawkman - if he does exist in this world at this point - won't be happy about them being there. There's a chance that he'll make a cameo appearance, but there was no indication of that on set. Alternatively, this could just be a way of expanding the DCCU beyond familiar haunts like Gotham City and Metropolis, but it seems like an important location here regardless.
