7. Common Isn't Green Lantern

Academy Award winning rapper Common has only had minor acting roles in movies like American Gangster and Terminator: Salvation, but that didn't stop fans believing rumours that he had been cast as John Stewart in Suicide Squad. That's a major role for someone with limited acting experience, and some recent set photos debunked those reports. The character he will play hasn't been officially revealed, but it doesn't appear as if Common will be a member of the Suicide Squad. Instead, it looks like he'll be one of their targets. Based on his appearance though, it's likely that the rapper is playing an old Green Lantern villain called the Tattooed Man. He has the ability to manipulate living tattoos on his body, and would actually make for the perfect kind of low to moderate level threat for Task Force X to take down. Some fans are speculating that he might be Bronze Tiger, and as just about every character in Suicide Squad seems to have tattoos, that is perfectly possible. Either way, it's now confirmed that Common most definitely isn't the new Green Lantern!
