Suicide Squad: 10 Questions We're Asking After The New Trailer

2. What Is The Squad's Mission?

If you're bringing out the Suicide Squad, a bunch of highly-dangerous criminals, then you've got to have a very good reason to do so. Even with the safe-fail injections there's an increased risk, meaning that the mission has to be pretty dangerous itself.

So, er, what exactly is it?

Although the trailers are at least in-part trying to make us believe that the Joker is the villain of the piece, that seems more like misdirection. The big candidate, especially after this trailer, is Enchantress, played by Cara Delivigne. Rumours persist that she'll be the one the Squad are after, something backed up by the fact she doesn't appear in the images shown by Amanda Waller, nor is she seen as part of the team when they're all together.

Quite what Enchantress, or whatever it is that has possessed her, has done - or is planning to do - isn't clear. Does it involve the President? Those weird demon things? Both of them and more? And is the mission to try and save June Moore, or simply to bring down Enchantress? Or could there be something else entirely?
