Suicide Squad: 13 Theories That Were Utter Bull

9. Ike Barinholtz Is Playing Hugo Strange

Suicide Squad Jason Todd
Warner Bros & DC

The Rumour: Ike Barinholtz's long-undisclosed role in fact turns out to be that of Batman's ferociously intelligent nemesis, Dr. Hugo Strange.

How Much We Believed It: Given how many characters the movie already had to juggle, throwing in yet another member of Batman's rogues gallery just felt like overkill, and wouldn't Warner pick a more famous actor for a character of Strange's importance? 3/10

The Truth: Barinholtz in fact plays an obnoxious prison guard at Belle Reve, Griggs, who throws shade at Deadshot early on in the movie and then gets accosted by The Joker. It's a solid role, just not one remotely as important as Hugo Strange.
