Suicide Squad 2: 10 Big Reasons To Be Excited

8. An Unrushed Final Product

Suicide Squad certainly had its problems, but the script was its fatal flaw. So much of it was simply people walking from Point A to Point B. It felt very unfinished, which when you learn about the film's production cycle, it makes perfect sense. With only six weeks to write up a script and a release date that couldn't be moved, the film's production was just as rushed as the film appeared to be.

With SS2, Warner Brothers will undoubtedly resist the urge to rush the film, mainly because there's no need for it. Since Birds of Prey will fill that SS void, for the time being. That way, the sequel can be quietly and carefully developed without any studio heads forcing progress instead of letting it happen naturally.

Whatever Suicide Squad 2 ends up being, it at least will have the time it needs to develop and progress into something that has far more polish than its predecessor.
