And finally, here's a character who can play both a member of the team and an antagonist to the Squad: fan favourite assassin Deathstroke.

While the character is already scheduled to appear in The Batman (whenever that actually gets made), Joe Manganiello has since stated that nothing's set in stone yet, even though he's absolutely enthusiastic to play the character.

What if things got shuffled around a bit and Manganiello's first appearance as the character was in fact in Suicide Squad 2? It's incredible that it's taken this long for such a beloved supervillain to get the live-action treatment, but with his penchant for wanton destruction, he'd certainly be a fine adversary for the Squad before perhaps joining up with them.

Manganiello is the perfect fit for the character, so fingers crossed he'll get to play Slade Wilson one way or another.
