Suicide Squad 2: 12 Perfect Villains (And Who Should Play Them)
5. Jon Hamm As Kobra
The first Suicide Squad movie had a surprising amount of supernatural silliness, even for the standards of a superhero movie, so all bets are probably off for the next movie, and megalomaniacal cult leader Kobra certainly wouldn't be out of place as a result.
Kobra aka Jeffrey Franklin Burr has an especially intriguing backstory, involving him being stolen at birth by the Kobra Cult, who believed a prophecy which stated he would eventually lead them to rule the world.
With incredible resources and intelligence, not to mention a massive army of hyper-loyal followers, he'd certainly present a significant threat to the Suicide Squad. Kobra needs to be deceptively charming and it wouldn't hurt if he was handsome too, so why not Mad Men star Jon Hamm?
The guy has already played a cult leader in The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (albeit to comedic effect), and he was a fantastic villain in the recent Baby Driver, so this'll be a walk in the park for him. Plus, as it's looking increasingly likely that he'll never get to play Batman, it'd still be nice for him to find another part to play in the DC movie-verse.
