Suicide Squad 2: Every Confirmed (And Rumoured) Character So Far
8. Michael Rooker As King Shark (Rumoured)
James Gunn has hinted several times throughout production that King Shark will be involved in the movie, and just because Steve Agee won't be portraying him doesn't mean that no one will. The big brute would make for an excellent addition to the team this time around, think a bigger, better Killer Croc, and one man who could bring and incredible personality to the character with just his voice is Michael Rooker.
The actor has worked with James Gunn multiple times, as Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy, Abe in Super, and The Big T in Brightburn. Even before Steve Agee was rumoured to be portraying King Shark in The Suicide Squad, Rooker was tipped to bring the character to life.
This was even before the official cast list was released. Though Rooker denied these rumours himself, at the time he also denied being cast in the movie at all, so his word certainly isn't as strong as James Gunn's.
This denial seems to be more in line with keeping movie secrets rather than actually telling the truth. Hopefully Rooker will ultimately portray King Shark, in the same outlaw badass way he brought Yondu to life.
