7. Viola Davies As Amanda Waller (Confirmed)
It is really no surprise that Viola Davies will be returning to The Suicide Squad in 2021. The actress was perfectly cast as Amanda Waller, the ruthless, stone faced woman behind Task Force X, and was easily one of the best aspects of the entire movie.
The only problem with Waller, which has nothing to do with Davies' portrayal, is that her plot simply left too much to be desired. Instead of using the team to battle a supernatural villain right off the bat, the comics saw them deployed more as a covert black ops unit.
In 2021, should Waller be allowed to use the team as they should be used, with the same no nonsense attitude as before, we are certain to be in for something much more compelling than in 2016. With the right story and the right direction, paired with the talent of Viola Davies, Waller could solidify herself as one of the best characters DC have put on screen in a long time.
