Suicide Squad: 6 Major Spoilers Jared Leto May Have Revealed About His Joker

1. He May Have Spoiled The End Of The Movie

Surprisingly, Jared Leto's iPhone wallpaper might just provide the biggest Suicide Squad spoiler to date. Recent photos of the actor out and about revealed that it's the cover of Detective Comics #1 (the relaunched version from 2011). It's a surprising choice, because while The Joker is a small part of the image, the cover itself - by Tony S. Daniel - is fairly unremarkable; there's really nothing about it which makes it stand out from countless other far superior depictions of this iconic villain. Looking at some rumours about the end of this movie might explain why he's using it though. Some time ago, it was reported that Suicide Squad concludes with The Joker breaking out of Belle Reve and going on a rampage on his way out, killing prisoners and guards alike. Interestingly, Detective Comics #1 also ends with him breaking out of captivity, only with him leaving his face behind. Could that be what happens on the big screen too? It would certainly make for a shocking way to end the movie (just look at the gory last page reveal above) and is the kind of iconic imagery which would make sure Suicide Squad is remembered for a long time to come. It's also a move that would open the door to Leto returning as The Joker in Ben Affleck's Batman movie with his face held on by straps and fishing hooks, just like his comic book counterpart. That was disturbing enough in print, so you can only imagine how it would come across in live-action. Following this story would however guarantee a very different Joker in the DC Extended Universe and would be a ballsy move by Warner Bros. At the very least, Leto has clearly read the issue and liked it enough to make it his wallpaper, which is a big endorsement regardless. Do you believe these are big spoilers? Or is it all a case of misdirection. Share your thoughts down in the comments.
