Now that is how you do a trailer. It's been a month since Warner Bros. Pictures unveiled their vibrant new look at supervillain team-up Suicide Squad and, even with a raft of teasers from the Super Bowl and a new, better look at Batman V Superman, people can't stop going back to experience the Joker, Harley Quinn and co. doing their thing to Bohemian Rapsody one more time. Given that very little of the movie's plot has been officially revealed, there is of course an awful lot that can be read into the two-and-a-half mintues of footage. Is Enchantress the villain? Was that Common as the Tattooed Man? Wait, can Jai Courtney actually act? But there's even more in there than you realised. Here are the eight big things everybody missed in that awesome trailer.
Honourable Mention - That Damaged Tattoo Is Still There
One thing I've noticed quite a few people have commented on in regards to the trailer is how the Joker's divisive tattoos appear to have been toned down somewhat, potentially in reaction the overwhelming backlash against them. Now, whether plans for the character have been at all influenced by the online commentators is up in the air (however, it's very unlikely), but even if they have then it hasn't affected the tattoos - you can clearly see that (shudder) "Damaged" still emblazoned on his forehead. I was quite brash in my immediate assessment of the Joker (and, at the time, rightly so - that initial reveal was terrible), but will admit that the big issues of that first image - the plentiful and garish tattoos, the grill - are less of a problem now simply because they're less prominent in the full version; oh, they're still there, but no longer presented as his defining factors. And that's why it feels like they've been toned down.
