Captain Boomerang is shaping up to be the comic relief in this film, as evidenced by his desire to have a cheeky sip of beer during a fight rather than putting his fists to work. Jai Courtney is clearly having the most fun he's ever had in his career, which might well be the secret to making him better at his job... The character looks like a lot of fun, and it's for that reason that I'm more inclined to suggest he survives for the sequel. Comedic characters rarely bite the big one in films such as this because it just serves to be a bit of a bummer, rather than bearing any deeper emotional resonance. Boomerang is still more likely to die than the previous occupants of this list; if they were going to give someone a humorous, slapstick-y death, the prime candidate is an a**hole bogan like Digger Harkness - who probably deserves it.
