You'd be forgiven for thinking that a name as recognisable as Common would automatically mean that he would be playing a fairly big character. After all, he surely wouldn't turn up for a two minute cameo that makes him look like a letch and ends up with a bullet in his head and absolutely no hint of his importance to anything, right?
RIGHT?!
Nope. Common plays a nobody. A gangster dressed up to look like DC Comics character Tattoo Man, with the same markings on his head, same facial tattoos and absolutely none of the powers or interest factor. He could have been played by Random Extra #3 and nobody would have lost a single thing.
