Suicide Squad: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

14. Enchantress/June Moone

Suicide Squad Ensemble
Warner Bros.

Can someone please explain to me why Cara Delevingne was cast here? She's a model, and presumably the casting team were keen to make sure Enchantress' ridiculously skimpy costume had an attractive clothes peg, but she offers precisely nothing of substance.

As June Moone she's all but edited down to a pair of wet eyes and a quivering bottom lip, and then as Enchantress, she's over-dubbed with a ridiculous pantomime British accent while she dances embarrassingly in front of her numb-headed magical vortex.

In character terms, she's also entirely misguided. She's helped along by a script that breaks its own rules (making her controlled by her heart, but then oh no immediately not), but her motivation to create this giant vague "machine" is just blithering. Why? Where's the motivation? Because you aren't being worshipped like a God? At no point does she earn her importance, and the chemistry between her and Rick Flag is awful.
