Suicide Squad: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
9. GQ
Scott Eastwood's GQ might not be a particularly eye-catching character (he's essentially just the grunt who stands closest to Rick Flag) but his proximity is absolutely devastating for Kinnaman.
He's a better military head, he seems more capable in battle, he's cooler under pressure and he's infinitely more charming even with nothing to say. Why oh why was he not just given the Flag role?
There was a lot of talk that he was going to be a secret character, but the reality is he was just another expendable stand-in because Ayer's script wasn't brave enough. Flag should have died heroically, instead he got his friend to. Someone important should have tested Waller's nerve, instead they tacked on Slipknot. It's just poor writing.
