Suicide Squad: Ranking The Characters By Anticipation

1. Harley Quinn

Played By: Margot Robbie. Who's Margot Robbie? An Australian actress who has broken through in recent years, having appeared in films like About Time, The Wolf of Wall Street, with Will Smith in Focus, and the currently-playing The Big Short alongside former Batman Christian Bale. It's hard to believe that Harley Quinn hasn't even been around a full quarter of a century yet, but her immediate and ongoing popularity has made it feel as though she's been around a lot longer, having undeniably cemented her permanent place in comics history. To see her and her tumultuous, complicated relationship with Mr. J finally carried over onto the big screen is something many have been clamoring over for years, and it won't be long until we all learn if the wait's been worth it. Even in a film littered with all kinds of unique villains and antiheroes and tasked with bringing to life a whole new Joker, it's Harley's role in it all that will serve as the lynchpin for whether or not it all comes together. She's a larger than life character, sure, and Robbie's enthusiasm on screen and off is infectious, but there's a lot to be mined from her history to make her a compelling, relatable - though not wholly sympathetic - addition to the DCEU that will hopefully do the character and the film itself justice.
