7. Margot Robbie Is A Stand-Out

She might not be entirely well handled by the film (more of which later), but Margot Robbie's performance has attracted a lot of positive attention too, which puts Warner Bros in good stead for the apparently greenlit Harley stand-alone project.

ComingSoon's positive review had a lot of good to say about her:

"Another standout is Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. If she wasn’t a star already, this has the potential to really make her a household name... Robbie manages to capture the spirit of Quinn from the animated series as well as the newer version from the comics while still making the character work for movie audiences... Overall, I think this is one of those rare performances that please a wide range of audiences."

The Daily Beast agree, even while lambasting the rest of the film:

"In a movie that feels disproportionately anemic and disjointed at times, Harley Quinn is the beating, bananas heart of the film. Beneath an assortment of face tattoos, caked-on clown makeup, and very sparse costuming, she’s always off-kilter and delightfully herself – a spunky supervillain who lacks impulse control and morals but keeps the makeshift squad together when self-interest and friction threaten to tear them apart."

So good news for Harley Quinn fans then.
