The traditional movie studios aren't the only ones getting in on the act, with Netflix expected to have some presence during the game (they dropped a trailer for Stranger Things 2 last year).

Reports have been swirling that they're taking on the distribution of the mysterious Cloverfield 3 - previously called God Particle, probably now called Cloverfield Station - and the Super Bowl would be a huge way of confirming that, something Deadline and others certainly see as a real possibility. There's also talk of the April release date being brought forward, and again, a Super Bowl spot announcing a drop later in the week would be a massive boost for the film.
