Superman: 20 Easter Eggs You Probably Missed
19. LuthorCorp
Lex Luthor's (Nicholas Hoult) self-named company has traditionally been called "LexCorp" in the comics and other associated media, though Gunn made the decision to rename it to "LuthorCorp."
Gunn was asked about this choice on social media and actually revealed that he renamed the company for a reasons.
For one, most people don't name their companies after their own first name, and it also left the door open for Lex's parents, Lionel and Lillian, to be involved in the future.
But Gunn also invoked LuthorCorp as a nod to the TV show Smallville, which was the first piece of major Superman media to rename LexCorp to LuthorCorp.
Gunn said that he's a fan of the show and that played a part in him deciding to co-opt its naming convention.
