6. Mister Mxyzptlk

For some reason, there was a time when even the most regal of heroes was given an impish tormentor - obviously, this trend finds its source in classical mythology. The confusingly named Mister Mxyzptlk was Superman's version, a fifth dimensional trickster imp with impossibly huge powers and an improbable appeal to some comic book fans.
Why He'd Suck He is literally the worst Superman "villain" in the history of Superman villains. Regardless of how you feel about some of the more comical entrants to Superman's rogues' gallery, it is this annoying little Rumpelstiltskin rip off who pips them all, thanks to the fact that he is infuriatingly enduring. For all intents and purposes, the imp with way too many powers should have been a one-off, rather than a Scrappy Doo-like addition (much like Bat-Mite and Ace The bat-Hound were for Batman) and the idea of bringing him in to Snyder's more realistic Superman world is grotesque. He's just not a real threat: though he's Superman's most powerful adversary, by some distance, he prefers to just prank around, using his powers for immature antics and torment, rather than the kind of malignancy that real villains require: he's more like an incessant wasp, constantly buzzing around. Plus, would tricking him into saying his name backwards really require a super-team-up? Decidedly not.
