Terminator: Dark Fate – 7 Big Things We Learned From The Trailer
1. It Will Be A Nostalgic Experience
Did you recognise that iconic shot of the moving road at the opening of the trailer? What about Sarah Connor walking through the desert in her legendary sunglasses?
It's pretty clear from this two-minute trailer that Terminator: Dark Fate will rely heavily on the nostalgia factor and, all things considered, it's wise to do so. The Terminator franchise is a relic from a bygone era, so its latest installment might as well pay tribute to its glory days in a bid to lure the old fans to the theatres. And as it marks Linda Hamilton's return to the franchise, we should expect a lot more callbacks as the film details what happened between T2 and Dark Fate.
The first half of Terminator Genisys was practically a just tribute to the 1984 original and that was easily the best part of the film, so if this one can nail that and get the plot right, we could be in for a treat. Yes, that's a big if.
Either way, prepare yourselves for a trip down memory lane.
