Terminator: Dark Fate - Every Easter Egg & Reference We Spotted

7. The Chopper

In the movie's third act, Rev-9 steals a chopper and pursues the heroes, in yet another set-piece that's torn straight out of T2. Specifically, we see Rev-9 firing a machine gun while piloting the aircraft, just as the T-1000 did in T2.

It was tough to tell on a first viewing whether or not Rev-9 used four hands to pilot and shoot at the same time, just as the T-1000 did, but given that he's literally able to split himself in two, it seems pretty likely.

One thing Dark Fate sure as hell didn't do, however, was have an actual helicopter pilot fly under an overpass with mere feet to spare, a practical stunt so dangerous T2's cameramen refused to shoot it, and so Cameron did it himself.
