Terminator: Dark Fate Trailer 2 Review - 7 Ups & 2 Downs

1. Sarah Connor and The Terminator's Unique Dynamic

When Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator opens that front door and Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor stares at him with a look of fright, awe and terror, it's impossible not to get flashbacks to the scene from Terminator 2: Judgment Day when the T-800 exited the elevator in Pescadero and Sarah collapsed with fear before him. One brief clip involving these two screen legends and the Terminator franchise feels more Terminator than it has in years.

That unique dynamic between the mother of the future and the cyborg that once tried to kill it is one that dominated T2 and now, after all these years, it's going to be interesting to see what their relationship is like this time around.

Just why does she look so frightened when she lays her eyes upon the ageing Terminator and, perhaps more importantly, why is she chomping at the bit to kill him? Could it have something to do with John Connor's conspicuous absence?

Whatever the reason, we should be prepared for Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger to steal the show all over again whenever they're on-screen.
