Terminator Genisys: 10 Reasons It Could Surprise Everyone

9. Arnold Vs. Arnold

Speaking of that familiar character, there’s no need to re-watch the original film because it seems that you're going to have it recreated in front of us. The look of the reproduced, younger Arnie has thus far been uncanny, but the CGI will really be put to the test when he’s interacting with his older self.

And what an interaction that ought to be. Though it’s not likely to be long, and seems more like fan-service than anything else, there’s no denying how cool it will be to see Arnold fight the younger, classic version of his character.

There’s a very nice symbolism to the idea that Arnold is going to fight a younger version of himself, as if he were literally destroying the past. Whether that ends up being a cruel bit of irony or a worthy piece of subtext remains to be seen. In any event, seeing the older Arnold take out his younger self, and essentially wipe the first movie from existence, is going to be something worth seeing.
