In a first for the franchise, Terminator Genisys features a scene in the middle of the credits that reveals the tied-up ending isn't as neat as Kyle thinks, cheekily setting up a sequel. The camera slowly works its way into the bowels of the destroyed Cyberdyne building, eventually revealing a strange computer system where the in-progress time machine used to be. The Matt Smith Skynet avatar flickers for a moment and the scene cuts. So, shockingly, the machines have survived in some form. Maybe the future is more set than you think.
