Slash Film were considerably more enthusiastic in their review when it came to their appraisal of Arnold Schwarzenegger, saying, "Genisys also marks a return to the humor and heart that Arnold brought to the series in Judgement Day ... Arnold has some really humorous moments in this film which will have you laughing out loud."
