Terminator: Genisys Spoilers - 8 Plot Points Revealed

6. ...But Also Further Back Into The Past

Perhaps the biggest shock of the plot details given in the Entertainment Weekly feature is just how much Terminator: Genisys is going to be tinkering with the timeline. It's already been confirmed that Game Of Thrones actor Emilia Clarke would be appearing in the film as Sarah Connor, who starred in the original two films with Linda Hamilton in the role. Casting which, of course, had fans excited...if a little confused. Clarke is considerably younger than Hamilton, and looks nothing like her, so how can she take up the part? Well, because Genisys is actually set before every single one of the other Terminator films. And owing to the whole soft reboot thing, it looks like the events of this movie will wipe the slate totally clean in a similar fashion to this summer's X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which chucked Hugh Jackman back into the seventies to undo everything that happened in the rest of the series. Audiences will be seeing the early days of Sarah Connor, along with all that crazy future stuff.
