Texas Chainsaw Massacre: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Leatherface
2. He Appeared Alongside Jason Voorhees In A Crossover Comic Series
Jason Voorhees went to hell and Leatherface was still aimlessly bumbling about in the backwoods of Texas. On the cinematic front, it was looking pretty final for both the Friday The 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchises in the early 90s. Enter Topps (you know, the sports trading card company), who many people don't remember were briefly in the comic book business. They produced several series based on licensed properties, the most popular of which were their X-Files run. Well, in 1995 Topps Comics released a three-issue miniseries that featured a battle for the ages that would call for machete to clash with chainsaw. When Crystal Lake is dredged by unscrupulous businessmen, Jason is released from his watery grave and ends up on a train. After he derails the thing, he finds himself in Texas, where he soon meets up with Leatherface and his other family members, who are impressed by his murderous habits and welcome him to their ranks. But living with others, even among deranged cannibals, is alien to a loner like Jason which makes a clash between him and them imminent. Why is this not a movie? It would be a ridiculous movie, sure, but it couldnt be any worse than Jason X.
