2. Astonishing Levels Of Willpower
Marvel ComicsEven in the event of Thanos being physically assaulted to the extent that it actually harms him, his willpower is such that he can pretty much just shrug it off using his absolutely monstrous levels of willpower. Willpower is a prominent feature of characters in comic books - the likes of Doctor Doom, Superman, Doctor Strange and Hal Jordan have all demonstrated inhuman levels of the ability (indeed, the Green Lantern Corps are fuelled by having greatly powerfull wills) - but Thanos takes it to another level. For example, when he was looking for the six Infinity Gems (as he so often does), he had to travel to a place known as the Nexus of All Realities. To get there, he had to endure places that warped reality itself and which distorted his body (turning him into crystal, a sludgy gunk and actually breaking him in to pieces). It was a tough experience for the Mad Titan, which he admitted, but he didn't even flinch. So, if the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe figure out a way to hurt him - which is unlikely - he'll still power through it like nothing is wrong with him (assuming his willpower is anything like it is in the comic books, at least).
