The 10 Best Summer Blockbuster Films Of 2013

6. The World€™s End

The World's End It took Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost six years to finally complete their unconnected Blood and Ice Cream trilogy of comedic films but they certainly exited with a bang. Most unexpectedly though, The World€™s End is simply very tonally different from past entries like the acclaimed Shaun of the Dead. It€™s much darker and packaged with some interesting themes about alcoholism and growing up. It has what people ultimately want though, which is the razor-sharp rapid-fire of British dialogue and humor. The film also has better fight scenes than most action movies nowadays, which is very disheartening considering this is a comedy about bar hopping and ink filled aliens. The film may not be the best of the trilogy but it's certainly one of the best films of the summer.
