The 14 Dumbest Things In Star Trek First Contact

9. Let's Do The Time Warp Again!

Okay, sure, it’s believable enough that the Enterprise-E can surf the wake of the Borgball through its wibbly wobbly, timey wimey chronometric tunnel back to First Contact week. But when the adventure ends, there’s the little matter of returning to the 24th century.

Since when does a Federation starship have the ability to do the chronometric particle dance not only to blow this 21st-century popsicle stand, but to get right back where they started without under- or over-shooting? This could have been handled in a throwaway line to the effect that the Borgification of the ship included modifications to let the Queen and her minions get Back To the Future, but nooooo.

In the grand tradition of all of Trek, this fantastic new capability is instantly filed away and forgotten. Maybe it’s in that same endless warehouse as the Lost Ark?
