Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as May Parker, Martin Sheen as Ben Parker, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn and Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn that's one hell of an array of actors for a superhero movie. In most cases, comic book movies have people moaning about at least one of the castings (see Ben Affleck as Batman and Jesse Eisenberg for recent examples of this) but, in this instance, everyone seems to be happy with this impressive cast. To say that a Spider-Man movie has amassed such an impressive group of talent to portray its core characters bodes very well for the franchise and for the quality of the characters in the franchise as a whole. If one thing was criticised about the first movie, it's that Rhys Ifans' Lizard might have been slightly lacklustre. With four decent castings for villains and potential villains in this sequel (Foxx, Giamatti, Cooper and DeHaan), it really doesn't look as if that's going to be a problem this time around and, with the rest of the cast from the first movie still on board, it's looking very promising all round.
