The Amazing Spider-Man 3 - 10 Things You Need To Know

Web-slinging your way in 2018 (wait, what?).

There's no denying the fact that the recently rebooted Spider-Man franchise has proved itself to be a little underwhelming. Coming off the back of Sam Raimi's trilogy, which consisted of one good film, one great film, and one very misguided film (in that order), it's safe to say that expectations were high, but not exactly impossible to meet. "Anything will be better than Spider-Man 3," we all told ourselves. And though The Amazing Spider-Man certainly was a superior picture, it didn't exactly set the world on fire. So whereas that movie felt a bit on the safe side, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - released earlier this year to mostly negative reviews - was downright questionable in its approach to telling a self-contained Spidey story. Which is another way of saying: it was a mess. Both movies in this rebooted franchise have been brought to us via the aptly named Marc Webb, of course, and though he has succeeded in many areas, he's also proven himself to be somewhat incompetent in others (sorry Marc: it's true). That said,, Sony aren't looking to put this puppy down just yet. Their plan, in fact, is to render a cinematic universe somewhat akin to the one that Marvel have conjured up using the little characters that they have. Which means Spider- Man will remain at the top of the pile as their most valuable asset, and that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is very much something that will be shipping into theatres as some point in the future. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming blockbuster so far...
