The Avengers 2: 5 Qualities We Need To See From Captain America

5. Master Combat Specialist

In the comic books, Captain America has defeated almost every Avenger there was in hand to hand combat. He has stood toe to toe with Gods and Super powered beings. He may not have beat all of them or came close to, but he let them know there is a lot of fight in this old dog. He has trained countless Avengers and turned them into fighters they never believed they could be. It may not be canon, but in the DC vs. Marvel comic book Batman believes that Cap could beat him because they're battle would go on for so long that he wouldn't be able to keep up. Cap isn't a normal guy who took a boxing class. He is one of the best fighters ever in comic book history. Then why isn't he portrayed as so in the Avengers? The only time we see him fight one on one is against Loki. Loki was holding back and still beating Cap. The rest of the time he was either shooting a gun or using his shield to defeat enemies. It was really disappointing to see him seem useless in the all of the big fights. Captain America should never seem useless in any fight even if it€™s something way bigger than he is. His fighting abilities should be enough to act as a distraction if it's against something way more powerful than him. I propose in the Avengers 2 that Cap€™s fighting ability is shown off. He should quickly defeat lesser opponents without taking any damage at all. The best way to show off his hand to hand skills is to put him up against another combat specialist. Black Widow looks to be the best hand to hand combat specialist of the Avengers, so why not have Cap test his skills against her? You might be saying, "But Cap doesn't hit women!" Wouldn't that show how great he is? By taking her out without having to punch or kick her. Should it be against an Avenger, a new character from the comics, or someone brand new, Cap's fighting skills have to be shown off.
