4. The Underdog Who Never Gives Up; Who Will Fight For Everything He Believes In
This iconic scene represents Captain America and everything he stands for. Over-matched and overpowered, but not ready to give up. He is never going to give up because someone is one hundred times more powerful than he is. In the Infinity Gauntlet story arc, Thanos has become the most powerful being in the universe. He wiped out half of the universe just by snapping his fingers. With the blink of an eye he destroyed the galaxies most powerful cosmic beings. Anybody left standing banded together to make a final stand even if it was pointless. Again, nearly everyone was wiped out. But there was one person left standing, Captain America. While he didn't come close to beating him and was easily killed later, it was the culmination of being the underdog his whole life. It was his final stand. We dont know if Thanos will be the villain in the Avengers 2. Trying to recreate the Infinity Gauntlet story would be impossible unless they severely weakened Thanos and the power of the Gauntlet. If Thanos is the villain, then it should be Cap who makes the final stand. Recreate that iconic scene. Even if Thanos isn't the villain, Cap should be the one who make the final stand against whoever is the villain. To prove a point, Cap can even be the one who defeats the enemy. Against all odds it is Captain America who finds victory.
