The Avengers 2: 5 Qualities We Need To See From Captain America

1. The Leader Everyone Respects

Are you surprised? The biggest quality we rarely saw from Captain America in the Avengers was his leadership ability. But that is understandable because it was the very first time these heroes met each other. Egos were bound to clash *cough*Iron Man*cough*. Everyone was going to question who should be in charge of what. Most of the members were not friends. It also doesn't help that Loki was pulling their strings the moment he was brought on board of the S.H.I.E.L.D aircraft. We only saw very few scenes of Cap€™s leadership in the final battle. Everyone set aside their differences and Iron Man was the one to let Cap lead. Cap telling each member what to do was his best moment from the Avengers, unless they added in that beautiful yet depressing deleted scene. That orders scene was a geek out moment for any Avengers fan who has waited all their life to see that on the big screen. Yet some people hated that scene because they didn't believe Cap should be the one to lead. They believed that he shouldn't lead because he is not as strong or cool as the Big Three. Since when did coolness make you a leader? Nowadays it is style over substance. A lot of non-comic readers don€™t understand why Cap is the leader. It is because of his understanding of what it takes to finish the job. He can motivate and inspire any superhero alive. He inspired Spider-Man when he was at a very low point in his life. No man could lead so many superheroes and get everyone to follow him. A long time ago, Wolverine once asked why he should follow Captain America. What makes him the leader? Thor responded back to him. He said something along the lines of that he doesn't usually take commands from anyone, but he would go through the gates of hell with Captain America leading him through. That is respect that is earned. We need to see a similar scene between one of the new rumored Avengers and Thor. To show Cap€™s leadership skills, Joss Whedon should do what he should have done in the Avengers. Cap should be the one who micromanages nearly everything. Wouldn't it have been cool to see Cap, in the final battle, ordering someone to find Loki€™s staff, or ordering Hulk to attack Loki, or how about ordering Iron Man to guide that missile through the portal? In the Avengers 2, Cap needs to micromanage and use his tactical skills. He needs to make the hard decisions no one else wants to make. But of course you don€™t want to downplay the others skills or intelligence. Just enough to show that Captain America is a natural born leader. I still loved Captain America in the Avengers because I love his character. I, like a lot of other fans, just wished we could have seen more from him. We still can with Captain America 2 being released in 2014 and then the Avengers 2 in 2015. So, what do you think readers?
