2. Black Panther
This has to happen. Black Panther is the supercool Avenger badly missing from The Avengers films (ok, so Iron Man and Black Widow are supercool, but Black Panther is on another level). Black Panther is the equivalent of Batman in the Justice League, just like Ms Marvel would be the equivalent of Wonder Woman. And, if Marvel can cast these characters quickly and feature them in the films, then they will be even greater competition to DCs Justice League film expected in the near future (a film which I imagine will fail badly by the way, but I am waiting to be amazed). Black Panther was the first black superhero in mainstream American comics. He has superhuman strength and senses. He is a skilled gymnast and has retractable anti-metal claws. His powers are in keeping with The Avengers current (more realistic) set of special abilities and we can really really really see him fitting in perfectly with the group. This is going to happen one day, isnt it?
Who Will Play Him: Only one perfect choice in my opinion. Djimon Hounsou. He looks the part and is a fantastic actor, giving great performances in Amistad, Gladiator (where he proved he could do the action and fighting scenes appropriate for the role) and Blood Diamond. He also has worked in the science fiction genre before in The Island where he co-starred with Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow). Tell me why he wouldnt be great for this role. He is just perfect. Added to that the fact that he was rumored for the role when they were considering making a Fantastic Four 3 and he also voices the character in the animated TV series of the same name. It would be mean not to give him this part wouldnt it? He so clearly wants it and deserves it. Plus, by now he must know the character pretty well. No alternatives for this one. The role is his.
