6. Alexander Skarsgard Might Have Also Been Thor
I know what you're thinking: when it comes to
Thor, Alexander's daddy beat him to the punch. Alexander Skarsgard's real life father, of course, actor Stellen Skarsgard, plays scientist and Loki-aligned puppet Dr. Erik Selvig in both
Thor and
The Avengers (and is set to reprise his role in the upcoming
Thor: The Dark World). Apparently, though, Stellen's son Alexander was glimpsed having lunch with Kenneth Branagh during the preparation period for
Thor, which - going by his already Thor-like appearance - could have suggested only one thing. We all know now that this little meet didn't lead to much else, perhaps because Skarsgard Jr. didn't possess the stocky build and brutish qualities that one might associate with Chris Hemsworth (though Alexander seems more like a Loki to me). Still, could've been interesting.
