4. John Krasinski Could Have Been Captain America

You know John Krasinski as that tall drink of water from
The Office who spends most of his time pranking Rainn Wilson, but this guy was also one of the prime contenders for the iconic role of Captain America, which later went to Chris Evans (despite the fact that Evans played Johnny Flame in those awful
Fantastic Four movies). And there's something about this that seems really right: Krasinski is affable and instantly likeable - all-American in exactly the right ways. He also kind of feels like somebody who might've been plucked out of the '40s and forced to live in the present. Ultimately Chris Evans was mentioned, though, and Marvel decided to go with him. Fact is, I just can't imagine Krasinski as this character in the
physical sense - you know, running around, dodging explosions, battering enemies to death with a shield. That's likely the result of never having seen the guy in an action movie before (the most exciting thing I've ever seen him do is pour a cup of coffee), but it just seems like slightly off casting to me. Maybe it's the lankiness.
