The Avengers Gets 10 Disc Blu-ray Set Containing All Films

"Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled" which will include all the films in the universe to date as a ten-disc collection.

"The Avengers" has grossed $1.3 billion and counting as it continues to find an audience at the box office and although our attention will soon be shifting over to Ridley Scott's "Alien" prequel "Prometheus", Marvel don't want us to forget about the awesome superhero ride we took this summer. Marvel's "The Avengers" is on its way to Blu-ray and DVD later this year as a stand-alone package, though Amazon have also revealed a Blu-ray collection box set titled "Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled" which will include all the films in the universe to date as a ten-disc collection. The ten disc-set will tentatively include the following; Marvel€™s The Avengers (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray) € Captain America: The First Avenger (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray) € Thor (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray) € Iron Man 2 (Blu-ray) € The Incredible Hulk (Blu-ray) € Iron Man (Blu-ray) € Bonus Disc - €œThe Phase One Archives€ (Blu-ray) € Collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia from the Marvel Cinematic Universe The set listing is accompanied by a tease which suggests the box set could come packaged like the briefcase Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury uses to transport the Cosmic Cube. Whatever is actually under the S.H.I.E.L.D. cloth will be revealed on July 15th. That image is above. No word yet if these films will have any further kind of bonus but personally I think it would be great to have a Marvel Comics track, i.e. a commentary from a Marvel expert who goes through each film and tells us how accurate it is to the character's original comics storyline.
