3. The Incredible Hulk

Again, I can hear the trolls sharpening their pitchforks and dousing their torches in paraffin at my placing of this. It didnt set the box office alight, and its rarely praised by critics or audiences. And I find it hard to figure out why this isnt given the respect it deserves. Iron Man introduced me to the character, and the same goes for most people, but The Incredible Hulk actually made me love a character I never really liked before. Dont ask me why, but until watching this I preferred The Thing to The Hulk.
The Thing! Ang Lees Hulk had left me so cold (as it would any 8 year-old) I thought The Hulk was a boring character. Well, how wrong I was. Without a doubt, the best thing about the film was Edward Nortons performance- despite Mark Ruffalo doing an exceptional job, my heart sank when I learnt Norton wouldnt reprise his role as Bruce Banner. Recasting Rhodey I could live with, but this was such a major upset Norton was marvellous in this film, as was Tim Roth, as was William Hurt, as was (yes, Im going there) Liv Tyler. The design of The Abomination, the factory scene This was just a much more entertaining and interesting movie for me than the other Marvel Movie to come out in 2008, but sadly I seem to be in a minority.
