The Batman: 10 Actors Who Could Play The Joker For Matt Reeves

Despite avoiding big budget blockbusters for most of his career, Ryan Gosling clearly has nothing against them (he was incredible to watch in Blade Runner 2049) and is currently prepping for the title role in Blumhouse's Wolfman reboot.

Looking back over his filmography, there isn't really any past role that screams "Joker." That's by no means a bad thing, though, and as Gosling has played so many complex, dark characters, he could easily tap into that for a version of the Harlequin of Hate who is cold, calculating, and a truly terrifying opponent for The Batman.

There have been many versions of The Joker over the years, and Gosling playing one similar to what comic book fans saw in The Killing Joke would make perfect sense for him.

Colin Farrell was an unconventional pick for The Penguin, and the same would no doubt be said about Gosling as this iconic villain. However, there's something exciting about that, and it's not remotely hard to imagine him making the character his own.
