As great as it would be to see The Mad Hatter and Firefly make their cinematic debuts, there is one Batman rumour that simply won't go away, even after a casting announcement seemingly debunked it.

When Peter Sarsgaard was cast in an unconfirmed role, many expected him to be portraying none other than Two Face.

After confirmation that the actor would in fact be playing Gotham DA Gil Colson, many are still expecting him to portray Two Face. Could it really just be a coincidence that he is playing a District Attorney not named Dent, or is there something that Reeves is trying to hide?

It wouldn't be the first time such a red herring was fed to fans before a Batman movie. Where Marion Cotillard was billed as Miranda Tate, of course the twist came that she was in fact, Talia al Ghul. While it's hard to imagine why the character would be using the name Gil Colson as an alias, it could simply be that in the DCEU, it is this particular DA that evolves into Two Face, rather than Harvey Dent.
